Community Futures is a community-driven economic development initiative funded by the Government of Canada and guided by local volunteer boards. Its primary goals are to help rural Canadians start or grow their businesses and to support the sustainability and growth of communities and local economies.
In Manitoba, 16 Community Futures corporations provide a wide range of services, including loans and technical support for small and medium-sized businesses, programs tailored for youth and entrepreneurs with disabilities, and assistance with community economic development and planning. These services are designed to strengthen local economies and help communities thrive.
